Krypton-83
Properties and data of the isotope 83Kr.
Krypton-83 is a stable isotope of the chemical element krypton, which has 47 neutrons in its atomic nucleus in addition to the element-specific 36 protons; the sum of the number of these atomic nucleus building blocks results in a mass number of 83. Kr-83 accounts for 11,50 % of natural terrestrial krypton deposits.
The first mass spectrographic detection and thus the discovery of Krypton was reported in 1920 [1].
